Kahuna is a superb coastal and long-distance cruising boat, designed for modern wood/epoxy construction. The first boat was built in Australia, and several have been launched in the US. Others are under construction — in the US (New York) and in Europe (Italy, the UK and Russia).
Kahuna is a very comfortable boat. She stiff and fast under sail, and an excellent choice for extended coastal or offshore sailing.

Kahuna can be built with a short or long cabin trunk. The photos show these options
Construction
Construction
Kahuna is designed to be strip planked with fiberglass or veneer overlays, or carvel planked, with sawn or bent (steamed or laminated) frames. Her hull shape makes for a relatively simple build.
