Kahuna Nui is designed for living aboard and long-distance cruising. Here's an excerpt from WoodenBoat's review:
"Kahuna Nui is the kind of boat that takes us back. She speaks to things of a bygone world -- to self-reliance, to remote islands without access to flown-in replacement parts. She speaks the language of patience, of contentment for living in the moment, of the journey being as much pleasure as the destination. ... she's for getting aboard and sailing over the horizon, with visions of palm trees lifting up out of the sea on your next landfall. Everything about her points to a boat that's less a tool for short-term travel and more a partner for the big journey. Take care of her, and she'll take care of you."
